The Tweetable Kerouac

I stumbled across Jack Kerouac’s “BELIEF & TECHNIQUE FOR MODERN PROSE - LIST OF ESSENTIALS” and realized that this list of 30 techniques he had for writing prose fits in in a cool (yeah, baby, real cool) way with your annoying twitter habit.

Here are some of my favorites:

“Try never get drunk outside yr own house” - decent advice. I’ve already failed this one.
“Be crazy dumbsaint of the mind” - read ‘dumbsaint’ as ‘dumbshit’ the first time around.
“In tranced fixation dreaming upon object before you” - so, like, zoning out on something; check.
“Remove literary, grammatical and syntactical inhibition” - done, done, and done.
“Youre a Genius all the time” - Nuff said.

See the full list herehttp://www.poetspath.com/transmissions/messages/kerouac.html

Ship these out and people will think you are cool. Or a bot.
